The Center for Women’s Business Research has released statistics in honor of Women in Small Business Month, which is October. Here is the figures the Center released Aug. 17: There are 10.1 million firms that are 50 percent or more owned by women. These businesses are employing 13 million people. They generated $1.9 trillion in sales as of 2008. One in five firms with revenues of $1 million or more is woman-owned.

The Center for Women’s Business Research also quoted award-winning author and inspirational business coach, Christine Kloser as saying, “It’s the spirit-based entrepreneurs that are experiencing the most growth in their business, despite what’s happening in the economy. Those who have not yet embraced this new model are beginning to realize they must if they want to thrive in the coming months and years.” Kloser was driven to write The Freedom Formula after her personal journey took her from the edge of bankruptcy to being a purposeful, passionate, and profitable entrepreneur. Even during periods of prosperity, the relevancy of spirituality to business success tends to be ignored. However, as Kloser discovered, if you ignore such a powerful and dynamic force, you may never achieve reach your full potential in business and your personal life.
